How Do I Get Floyd County Criminal Record
The Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) of the Indiana State Police (ISP) is responsible for criminal history information in the state. The ISP allows the general public to submit requests for limited criminal history searches. A limited criminal history report contains information about arrests within the State of Indiana only. The ISP also enables a national criminal history search which is a fingerprint-based record search that provides a complete report of a subject’s criminal history. It is conducted via the Indiana Electronic Fingerprinting Network (INkless) and a report will contain all reported arrests, charges, and dispositions from all state and federal authorities in the U.S. The CJIS uses a third-party to provide electronic fingerprint scans at any of the locations throughout Indiana. Requesters will need to book an appointment to have their fingerprints taken and results will be electronically submitted to the ISP for processing after which the search reports will be sent to the requesters. Where and How to Get Floyd County Birth and Death Records
Floyd County birth and death records are available to authorized persons on request from the County Health Department. Persons authorized to obtain copies of these records include the persons on the record, their family members, legal guardians, authorized representatives, and persons who can demonstrate the records are required to determine personal or property rights. Funeral directors are authorized to obtain copies of death certificates. Persons requesting copies of these records are required to provide copies of valid IDs and evidence of their relationship to the registrant on the record or documentation which demonstrates the records are required for their personal or property rights. There is a $13 fee for each copy of a record payable by cashier’s check or money order made out to the Floyd County Health Department.

Birth records are available from 1907 to the present and death records from 1900 to the present.
