Parties who request for these records online have the option of subscribing to the service. Subscribers pay a fee of $15 per record, while non-subscribers are charged $16.32 per record requested. Mail-in requests cost $7 per record and fees are to be paid in the form of either a money order made out to “The State of Indiana”.

How Do I Find DeKalb County Sex Offender Information?

Members of the public interested in obtaining information on registered sex offenders residing in DeKalb County may do so through the online sex offender registry maintained and regularly updated by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. How Do I Visit an Inmate in DeKalb County Jail?

The county jail runs a video visitation platform and all interested parties interested in visiting inmates are required to register, free of charge, and schedule visits at least 12 hours in advance. Inmates are allowed 2 on-site visits per week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., from Tuesdays to Saturdays.

A maximum of 3 people are allowed to visit an inmate per visit, and all potential visitors must be listed when scheduling the visit. Visitors must be at least 18 years old, or be accompanied by an adult, and must have a valid photo ID. It should be noted that individuals on active felony probation or parole and individuals that were just released from the DeKalb County Jail within a 60 day period are not allowed to visit inmates. Also, inmates in jail programs, such as trustee assignments, attorney visits, church, G.E.D, parenting, or MRT class, are not eligible to receive visits during these programs and so visitors are advised to schedule their visits around inmate’s programs.

In addition to this, the county jail also offers interested parties with the option of remote visits at a fee of $7.50 for a 30-minute visit. Inmates are allowed an unlimited number of off-site visits between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., from Tuesdays to Fridays and 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

It is important to note that off-site visitors that lose their internet connection during a visitation session will not be allowed to reconnect, neither will they be issued a refund.
